project deliverables ...

1. As a first step, our approach to each project is determined by a needs assessment (NA) or a gap analysis.  Such assessments are usually performed internally by the client or can be conducted externally by the consultant as warranted by the complexity of the project and the degree of risk.

2. Our scope is focused on agricultural systems including risk-based on-farm food safety programs, development of unique attribute-based standards, conformity assessment, quality management systems and other integrated management and research strategies for established and emerging cropping and livestock systems.

3. We work predominantly in three broad subject areas: data management, information systems and knowledge bases. Credible data, relevant information and comprehensive knowledge are strong antidotes for reducing operational risk*.

4. Information systems and ultimately knowledge bases are constructed from a variety of data sources provided from our clients and through a scientific approach to research design and analyses.

5. All projects are different with respect to individual scope, but each project shares four (4) distinct phases, integrated into a process that involves: a) the recognition of needs, b) the establishment of the scope, c) conducting detailed quantitative or qualitative research, d) assembling descriptive documents, e) reviewing and revision of documentation (in some cases involving third-party review) and f) release of the final product following client approval.
